Smart Power System High Tech Energy Cluster is the industrial cluster for power generation, transmission and distribution established in the Italian Regione Campania.
Smart Power System High Tech Energy Cluster is supported by important firms that work to create an integrated supply chain in different fields of energy industry, and to aggregate small and medium enterprises.
MISSION AND VISION
Smart Power System, leader of« Environment Energy & Green Chemistry Cluster» of Campania Region, aims at making sinergies and linking among Large Companies, Universities, Research Institutes and SMEs.
Smart Power System aim to generate new business opportunities, enhance competitive advantages and create value for companies, knowledge institutions and local authorities across energy industry.
Smart Power System is a mean for fostering innovation and competitiveness in companies, particularly in SMEs. It support future green growth promoting smart grid solutions and increasing companies visibility on the international market.
ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE
Smart Power System (SPS) is an High Techology Discrict built on the MIUR D.D. n. 713/Ric. call. SPS allows more than 40 small and medium sized companies , universities and research centers, organizations of the public sector as well as not-for-profit bodies and industrial associations to represent the energy industry through one single network. This collaboration brings together a number of different actors in the task of creating an extended laboratory in which research, innovation and training projects can be developed for both actual and future technical expertise, to be captured and consolidated in SPS. Smart Power System Energy Cluster works closely together with supply chain representatives from all ‘souls’.
ACTIVITIES
The mission of the Smart Power System is to support member companies in becoming more competitive by operating in the market with a wide portfolio; putting to use the support of academic institutions; involving R&D institutions and satisfying customers’ needs by:
- Operating as a network to reinforce and develop the member companies through growth of product quality and continuous improvement of human resources
- Promoting international visibility, market knowledge, competencies and ability to operate on international markets
- Consolidating the excellence in power generation, transmission and distribution business by increasing synergies among all institutions and companies in the region and realizing worldwide cooperation with other cluster organizations.

The development of Smart Power System Energy Cluster is arranged along five strategic lines:
- Added value integration
- Internationalization

- Lobbying
Internationalization is highly stressed in Smart Power System Energy Cluster. The main focus so far has been on GCC Countries. Current projects has arranged to meet with relevant actors in US, Canada and China. Moreover, Smart Power System aims at getting involved in a number of European business projects.

Integration of competences towards a common goal. Identify, promote and supply innovative solutions for the generation, production and distribution of energy.
Smart Power System High Technology District operates along three main lines of intervetion:
- R&D: participating in European Projects aimed at the growth of firms’ products quality and innovation.
- INTERNATIONALISATION: promoting not only international visibility, market knowledge, competencies and ability to operate on international markets as unique supplier, but even realizing worldwide cooperation with other cluster organizations.
- MATCHING: facilitating both bilateral cooperation between consortium firms and among other regional actors always keeping a business oriented approach.
